Cinderella 99 by Kingdom Organic Seeds

I got these original seeds around 20 years ago (around 2004) from my old buddy RC Cola. He was buddies with the Bros. Grimm, and RC was a good breeder himself, in my opinion. I don’t know what filial generation the originals were, but it was a high number to be sure. I have inbred these 5 times myself and captured a real purple expression that was recessive-ish within the C99 line. Yup, many individuals now have super cool purple coloration on the leaves and/or calyxes. The dried buds look spooky cool and just drenched in resin.

About 1:3 or 1:4, a phenotype I call “The Beast” shows up. She is, fairly often also a pineapple phenotype (see below). This phenotype is actually an okay yielding phenotype of the C99 and yields about 20% more than other non-beast siblings. The beast phenos are boosted in both vigor and overall size, as well as bud size.

The Pineapple C99 pheno is fairly common itself showing up about 1:4 or 1:5 and is outstanding regarding smells and flavors that really mirror pineapple—you’ll see. The pineapple phenos are also normally a little extra heavy regarding resin production—and that’s really saying something, because all C99s are serious resin factories.

La Smoking Insights

To this day (2025) one of my favorites regarding “poor man’s sativa” ever. The Cinderella 99 (C99) I call a poor man’s sativa really because she’s ALMOST a pure sativa experience in many ways. She is very “soaring” and creative, as well as inspiring. I wouldn’t say she is a totally clear hightype, as she has a little bit of a body thump along with the headiness. Not sleepy, just a tad physical along with a shitload (Texas measurement) of killer headiness and adventure ahead stuff.

This is a pure connoisseur’s strain here man. No bulky yields, for sure not any kind of cash cropper, but a SERIOUSLY exotic line and one you need to try before you die! Heh heh. For reals!

How to Get the Sativa-Most from Your KOS C99

I have grown out this C99 many-many times. I recommend this strain to everyone so highly, and it will really give you a “taste” of a true sativa experience—fast! This is very simple, and all you have to do, in my experience, is harvest your C99 at around 8 to 8.5 weeks, or, at or less than 15 to 20% amber resin heads. When drying her, make sure to do it in the dark. It doesn’t need to be pitch black like flowering darkness, but very dark. Keep humidity drying “around” 40% and temps from 70’s to low 80’s and it takes about 4 weeks to dry this way for me. Drying plants in the light always seems to me to lean the resin properties towards the narcotic side of the resin-coin.

Growing Instructions

The C99 is not really a strain I recommend for outdoors. Under primo outdoor conditions she would be awesome, however due to her long IBL (inbred line) status she succumbs fairly easily to environmental stresses. Things like parasites, and mold can really destroy her quickly once effected. She really requires a kickass growing environment free from pests, and high humidity.

Please do not sprout these on a 24/0 photoperiod and KOS recommends 16/8 for sprouting and until 30 days old. Then switch to 18/6. Alternately…

Using a flowering photoperiod of 12/12 on sprouts for their first 10 days above ground, then switching them to an 18/6 (or 16/8) photoperiod will allow you to easily sex them at 30 days of age—give or take 3 days

Always allow plants to get at least 55 days old from sprouting, before starting to flower for maximum resin production. Plants grown from seed work much better outdoors in the ground than clones do. Alternately, clones work much better in containers than plants from seeds do. Sprout seeds in ambient temps of 75 – 85 deg. F. Obviously KOS always recommends organically growing our gear in living soil for the full appreciation of smells and flavors, among many other reasons—cheers

Ran 30 of these c99 beans. Not sure if mine where F3 or F4, scored them a few hers back on HD.
Got like 24 starters and fairly slow to get going but strong despite this. I found the line to be heaviest in the skunk pheno – like 60% or so. This is the fig pheno Rev mentions. The rest are 25-30% midget haze phenos with the citrus – fruit punch dank smell and then there are the more classic Cindy looking plants at 10-15% that have the NL structure of heavy branching, growing as wide as they are tall. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a solid line of old school Cindy magic. My best plant was a male that had the melon – pineapple smell, happy days!! Thanks Rev.

I ran 5 of the 10 beans. I got 3 females, 1 male. 1 did not sprout. The females all seemed to be the citrus pheno to me. They all smelled like ripe pineapples, oranges during flowering, it was amazing. The male had the same smell and was very resinous. Very happy with these beans:) Would recommend these to anyone looking for a fast flowering, tasty strain. All females were done around 50 days. I grew these all organic using the Rev’s soil recipe.
